National Allotments Week aims to promote the awareness and availability of allotments both locally and nationally and to show the public and the local authorities the strength of support and interest for the heritage of allotment culture.
The Green Man Festival
15th - 17th August 2008 Glanusk Park, Brecon Beacons, Wales
The Green Man Folk music festival is held in the glorious setting of Glanusk Park Estate. The Green Field area features a solar powered milk float stage and the chance to exchange ideas, whether musical, environmental or humourous.
Friends of the Earth One-Minute Film Competition
Submit your entry to the Friends of the Earth One-Minute Film competition by August 29th and you could be in with a chance of winning £4,000 to fund further film projects. The theme this year is "Which bit of the earth are you a friend of?".
