If your home has gaps between the floorboards, you may experience chilly rooms and discomfort during the winter months. Rather than reaching for the thermostat and firing up the heating, the energy saving alternative of filling the gaps in your flooring will not only keep you warmer, in the longer term you’ll be saving energy and money.

DraughtEx has been cleverly manufactured with thousands of concealed air pockets. These air pockets allow the sealant to be compressed by almost 90% of its original profile and this flexibility allows DraughtEx to be compressed into floorboard gaps much smaller than its original form. Once it’s placed inside the gap, DraughtEX will expand until it fills the width of the gap.

Throughout the course of their life timber floors contract and expand. These movements cause other floorboard sealants such as papier-mache, wood filler and silicon to become ineffective and loose and eventually they drop out of place.

DraughtEx however will mimic the movement pattern of the timber and therefore remain in place retaining insulation for many years.

DraughtEx is supplied with a free applicator and is currently available in 10m rolls for gaps between 6-11mm and 40m rolls for gaps between 2-7mm and gaps less than 3mm.
