The eco hemp cat bed has an outer hemp canvas and is stuffed with part recycled polystyrene beads
Designed with comfort and security in mind, it has extra deep sides to give added support and also provides the kind of welcome feeling of safety that cats seem to love. Hemp is also a lovely material, soft yet durable and naturally resistant to those uninvited pests!
The outer cover the cat bed is also removable and can be hand washed or washed on a gentle cycle at 40oC or less.
The environmental footprint of hemp is considerably smaller than that of most other plants considered for their fibres.
Hemp plants grow very quickly and densely which makes it difficult for weeds to take hold, eliminating the need for herbicides and artificial fertilisers. It requires no irrigation as it thrives on the amount of water in the average rainfall, and it is highly pest-resistant.
The filling of the cat bed is also made using part recycled polystyrene beads and the outer cover is a natural un-dyed material.
