These stunning cushion covers started off in life as wedding dresses. After sitting on the clothes rails unloved and unwanted, young designer Zoe Murphy stepped in to the rescue, transforming the fabric into a collection of beautiful handmade cushion covers.

The wedding dress fabric has been hand printed with designs which are optimistic and uplifting such as this fetching Margate Sun design.

The Margate Sun Cushion Cover has been made using reclaimed vintage wedding dress fabric. The silk is hand printed in this fun and colourful design, reviving and revitalising a material which was otherwise unwanted.

The cushion covers are made by Zoe Murphy who was short listed for the BBC New Designer of the Year Award.

Zoe's work promotes 'loving what belongs to you' by re-using textiles in an ethical and upbeat fashion. The Margate silk cushion collection draws its inspiration from Zoe's hometown, the British seaside resort of the same name.
