Pedalite KPL200 Pedal Lights
Pedalite is a non battery-dependent bicycle pedal light. Flashing LEDs in each pedal provide 360 degree conspicuity as the LEDs flash white to the front, red to the rear and amber to the side.
The lights operate automatically when ridden and provide information on a cyclist's distance, direction and relative position. LEDs remain flashing for at least 5 minutes after you stop pedaling.
There is no need for batteries to purchase or throw away. Pedalite is easy to fit and can be fitted on all adult and child bikes (from age 9).
The Pedalite lights work by multiplying the spindle rotation using a gearbox and generator to convert rotational energy to electrical energy. Sufficient energy is available to energise the LEDs immediately and charge a store capacitor. The capacitor provides residual energy enabling the pedal to flash for up to 5 minutes when the cyclist freewheels or stops.
You can now also choose to purchase a pair of pedal toe clips which are compatible with the new Pedalite KPL200 model. The toe clips increase the cyclist's efficiency and support the feet whilst helping to prevent slipping.
